Daal Mash Recipe – How to make Daal Mash
Here, you can learn a proper daal mash recipe. The method for making this daal is very easy and no need to use a pressure cooker.
Ingredients – How to make Daal Mash
- 200 gm daal mash
- Cooking oil 1 cup
- Chili Powder 1 tbsp.
- Salt 1 tbsp.
- Kashmiri chili Powder 1/4 tbsp.
- Turmeric Powder 1/2 tbsp.
- Green Chilis
- 1 Large Onion
- Ginger and garlic Paste 1 tbsp.
- 1 Large Tomato
- Warm water
Direction:
- First of all, wash it properly and make sure that what quantity you have taken for cooking.
- Dip the daal for 2 hours in warm water.
- Take a pan and add some cooking oil in it. On the other hand, put the onion, ginger, garlic and tomato in the blender and blend it to make paste by adding some water into it.
- Add the blended mixture into the hot oil and cook it properly, until its oil gets separate.
- On the other side, take a pan and add the water which is double of the quantity of daal mash (grain). Add some salt and cooking oil. Let the water boil and add the dipped daal into the boiling water. Cover and cook on medium flame until daal gets tender.
- Now mix the cooked masala and boiled daal into a pan and cover for 10 minutes.
- Add some fresh coriander and green chilis and a pinch of hot spices powder. Now cover it for 5 minutes on very low flame.
- Serve with some pickle and mint chutney. With some salad and hot chapati.
