Carrots (Gajar) are very beneficial for our body parts. Carrots are full of fiber and carbohydrates, clean your blood, and also beneficial for your eye side.
INGREDIENTS FOR GAJER KA HALWA:
- Carrots (Gajrain)
- 5 Kg Sugar (Cheeni)
- ½ cup 5 tbsp. Homemade Condensed milk (Garha Dhood)
- 1 cup of dry milk (Dhood)
- 1.2 cups of cooking oil
Direction for Gajar ka Halwa Recipe:
- First of all, wash the carrots (gajar) properly and crush them in a blender or by your hand machine.
- Put the crushed carrots in the pan and cook it on high flame until its water gets dry properly.
- After some time color of the carrots gets changes and the water will dry. Then you have to add cooking oil and sugar to the pan. Mix it properly. Stir it after every few minutes.
- Add homemade condensed milk and dry milk and cook it with continuous stirring.
- When its oil starting to get separate and the color of carrots gets changes, then gajar ka halwa is ready.
- Add some mawa (khoya) and mix.
- Garnish with some dry fruits as you like to add. Which can be almonds, walnuts, kaiju, or pistachio.
NOTE:
- If you are adding condensed milk then, make sure that you are adding less sugar in the halwa because condensed milk contains sugar itself.
- If you are adding milk at the start then you should not add dry milk in the last step.
- Oil and sugar can be added according to your taste.
